Richard graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1991, and has practiced law in Lexington since then. Richard also earned his undergraduate B.A. degree in business administration from the University of Kentucky, and was the first person to complete the University's dual degree program, in which he earned an M.B.A. degree to accompany his J.D.
He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial collection and litigation, petroleum marketing law, general corporate law, corporate compliance, and contract law.
Richard has extensive litigation experience, and is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, including the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky. He has handled numerous civil litigation cases over the years, in all areas of Kentucky. Richard also has supervisory responsibility for managing litigation handled by approximately sixty separate local counsel in more than forty states in the U.S. and Puerto Rico, on behalf of the firm's business clients.
